About Me

Welcome to Teach Like It’s Friday! I’m Amanda Daniels, a thirty something teacher from the BIG state of Texas! What’s Teaching Like It’s Friday? Well, let’s be honest, Fridays are typically the fun days and the day we’re most excited about.  Be it your activities, to your lesson planning, to discussing next weeks planning with your team.  Friday’s are typically the fun days that usually go off without a hitch.  You’re wrapping up an eventful week, looking forward to the weekend, listening to your students upcoming adventures, and looking forward to what is to come during the next week. I aim to inspire teachers to use those feelings  and mindset from Fridays to fuel  and implement in every day of the week! Everyday is a fresh start and full of new possibilities for both yourself and your students! I can’t wait to share my knowledge and ideas with everyone and learn some new things myself along the way! I’ve been teaching for the last 13 year, and have had the privilege of teaching all grade levels from pre-K to 5th as well as teaching a few college  courses in early childhood education at Northern Arizona University.
A little about my personal life is I’m married to wonderful man whom works in IT support,  and believe me when I say I use him to my full advantage.  He’s always there to help me learn how to incorporate and implement technology into my teaching in fun and exciting new ways, which I’ll also be sharing.  This year we were beyond blessed to have welcomed our first child a sweet baby girl. I enjoy traveling, hanging out with friends and family, and of course I love Mexican food.
